The official pictures for the live action adaptation of Honey and Clover finally emerged in Japanese fashion magazine, Non-No. Now that the official pictures are out, people will undoubtedly going to start judging whether or not the actors live up to the way they see the characters. Personally, I think the actor who plays Takemoto, Sakurai Shou, doesn’t look that similar to Takemoto. But that’s probably because Takemoto is my favourite character and therefore I tend to be more critical of the actor who’s going to play him. On the other hand, I think both Hagumi and Harada look very similar to their character. I also feel the same way about the actors who play Morita and Mayama but I’ve been told that many people disagree with this assessment. Last but not least, Shuuji looks a bit older in my opinion but I suppose the actor will do fine.

In other news, apparently there a screening of the movie’s preview held at Shibuya cinema and as expected, it was fully-packed. Sakurai Shou, Aoi Yuu, Iseya Yusuke, and Megumi Seki apparently came to the preview to support the film. In addition to this, The official site for the movie has also been updated with some pictures of the cast now. At the moment, however, only the five main characters are featured in the site. In case you’re wondering, however, Sakai Masato (Shinsengumi, Sky High) plays the role of Hanamoto Shuuji while Nishida Naomi (Water Boys, Ruri no Shima) takes on the role of Rika. There are pictures of their characters underneath this paragraph for comparison purposes. Anyway, I’m keen to hear what everyone thinks about the casting and the look of the film so far.

Yūta Takemoto, Takumi Mayama and Shinobu Morita are three young men who live in the same apartment complex and are students at an art college in Tokyo. One day, one of the art professors, Shūji Hanamoto, introduces his cousin’s daughter, Hagumi Hanamoto, who has come to live with him and is a first year at the art school. Upon introduction, Takemoto and Morita fall in love with her. Morita expresses his love for Hagu in ways that scare her, especially calling Hagu ‘mousey’ and constantly photographing her, while Takemoto hides his feelings and tries to be a friend to Hagu. Hagu herself, though initially timid and afraid of company, gradually warms up to the three.The group also includes another female: Ayumi Yamada. She is a master of pottery, and is well known by her name "Tetsujin" (Iron Lady). When not at school or hanging out with friends from the college, she helps her family run the liquor store. She is very popular with all the guys, whether they are from the shopping district or the other male pottery students, but Mayama is the only man she is in love with.Unfortunately, although Mayama considers Yamada a friend, he does not return Yamada’s love and is busy chasing an older woman, Rika Harada. Rika runs an art business which she used to run with her husband, Harada before he died in a car accident which also left Rika disabled. Rika Harada and Shūji were very close friends and roommates in college. Mayama is sent by Shūji to help Rika, who has a hard time taking care of herself and running her business.The story follows these five characters in their love triangles, graduating from college, finding jobs, and learning more about themselves.

Erti persahabatan tak pernah lupus, meskipun
nilai-nilainya pudar dibawa arus masa.. Dalam dunia
ini, kita tidak punya sesiapa kecuali diri sendiri..
tetapi dalam kita bersendiri, kita beruntung kerana
mempunyai seorang sahabat yang memahami kita.

Tetapi kita sering terlupa akan hal itu.

Kita cuma mengambil kira tentang harapan dan perasaan

sering terlupa. Untungnya mempunyai seorang kawan yang
sentiasa di sisi kita pada waktu kita memerlukan dia.
Dia mendengar luahan perasaan kita, segala rasa kecewa
dan ketakutan, harapan dan impian kita luahkan, dia
memberi jalan sebagai laluan penyelesaianmasalah.
Selalunya kita terlalu asyik bercerita tentang
dirikita hingga kadang- kadang terlupa kawan kita juga
ada cerita yang ingin dikongsi bersama kita.

Pernahkah kita memberi dia peluang untuk menceritakan
tentang rasa bimbangnya, rasa takutnya?

Bolehkah kita menenangkan dia sebagaimana dia pernah
menyabarkan kita?

Ikhlaskah kita mendengar tentang kejayaan dan berita
gembiranya?

Mampukah kita menjadi sumber kekuatannya seperti mana
dia meniup semangat setiap kali kita merasa kecewa dan
menyerah kalah?

Dapatkah kita yakinkan dia bahawa kita boleh
dipercayai, kita boleh dijadikan tempat untuk
bersandar bila terasa lemah, agar tidak rebah?

Bolehkah kita menjadi bahu untuk dia sandarkan
harapan?

Sesekali jadilah kawan yang mendengar dari yang hanya
bercerita.Ambillah masa untuk memahami hati dan
perasaankawan, kerana dia juga seorang manusia; dia
juga ada rasa takut, ada rasa…bimbang, sedih dan
kecewa. Dia juga ada kelemahan dan dia juga perlukan
kawan sebagai kekuatan. Jadilah kita kawannya itu. Kita
selalu melihat dia ketawa, tetapi mungkin sebenarnya
dia tidak setabah yang kita sangka.

Disebalik senyumannya itu, mungkin banyak cerita sedih
yang ingin diluahkan, disebalik kesenangannya,mungkin
tersimpan seribu kekalutan,kita tidak tahu…….
tetapi jika kita cuba jadisahabat seperti dia, mungkin
kita akan tahu. Renungilah……

Friday, 13 July 2006, 10.30 am. I had an interview as a graphic designer at Planet Hollywood. I’m too nervous and had a butterfly in my stomach before the interview. The interviewer, Miss Azean calling me twice to make a conformation of the interview session. It seems that they really need a graphic designer as soon as possible. Before this, I already send my several sample work to them but they insist want to make face to face interview. So, after a few self training and make it some research about Planet Hollywood, I face the interview session with full confident. After I arrive I go to the receptionist and ask for the Miss Azean and I really shock because Miss Azean is very attractive person. She has a nice taste in fashion, wearing a jean jacket and nice skirt. She so beautiful and I didn’t aspect I had interviewer beautiful as she is. Damn she’s babe!!! Thank god because my fantasy now become reality. She asks me a lot of question, but I can answer it very well and in fact I give a good impression to her. It’s is not only for me actually but also to take care of my good image of my university. The interview session is all in English. Beside that, she also evaluates on my personality, my style and main important is on how I tackle her question. Honestly my English is very poor but I try to speak in English. As a result, it goes very well. At the end of interview session, I asked about her qualification and she told me that she has a degree in graphic design from one of University form UK. She also agrees with me that, qualification is not important part compare than creativity itself. I really don’t know if I get a job or not because there a second interview. So I just prepare for the next session. This is the best job interview I ever had.
